AMHERST, NY (WIVB) - UB quarterback Drew Willy will get a chance to show off for NFL scouts at the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge.  Willy will play for the Nation team in one of just three college all-star games. The game is January 31st in El Paso, TX.  Willy actually spent time as a child in the west Texas town.

The Bulls quarterback rapped up his career in Blue and White by setting every one of the school's career passing records.  Early indications are that Willy will have a chance to be a late-round draft pick.  At 6-4 and 220 pounds, he is just the kind of tall pocket passer the NFL is seeking.  With so many college teams using the spread, shotgun offense, there are fewer classic NFL QB types available.  Indianpolis Colts President & GM Bill Polian has already talked favorably of Willy's skills, comparing him to former Bills backup Frank Reich.

Willy is the second straight Bull to play in this game.  Trevor Scott, who was drafted by the Oakland Raiders, played there in 2008.
