BUFFALO (WIVB) - Despite a 6-9 record, the Bandits are in the playoffs. They beat Rochester 14-9 on Saturday, claimin the National Lacrosse League's final postseason spot. Mark Steenhuis had four goals and four assists to lead the way for Buffalo.
Anthony Cosmo made 46 saves, and had an assist on one of the goals by Steenhuis. Luke Wiles also had a hat trick, adding three goals and one assist. Matt Giles also scored twice.
The Bandits move past Rochester into third place in the East Division.
They built a 7-2 lead, only to see the Knighthawks pull within two at 7-5. But then the Bandits scored the next seven goals to clinch the win.
Buffalo ends the regular season next weekend at Washington.
