BOSTON (WIVB) - It's a two win weekend for the Buffalo Bandits.  They completed the sweep Sunday in Boston, beating the Blazers 9-8.

Saturday in Buffalo, the Bandits beat Rochester.  They improve to 6-3, and move into second place in the NLL's East Division.

John Tavares had three goals for the Bandits, who needed a Clay Hill goal with four minutes left to break a 8-8 tie.  It was Hill's first goal of the season.  Goalie Mike Thompson was stellar, making 27 saves for the win.  Thompson preserved the one goal lead with a number of key stops late in the game.

Mark Steenhuis had two goals for the Bandits.  Dan Dawson scored five for the Blazers.

The Bandits host Boston next Saturday.
