Pittsford, NY (WIVB.COM) - The Bills started their practice under sunny skies at St. John Fisher College.  Then, with about 45 minutes left, the clouds rolled in and the rain came down in buckets.  Even under those conditions, the Bills felt practice was productive.

"Well it is not something you want to do but it is good for us. You need a day like that so that you can handle a wet ball and everybody can talk about ball security on offense and you can talk about stripping the ball out on defense. So it was good for us."  Head Coach Chan Gailey said after practice.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick added it was necessary to practice in those elements, the same the team faces a few times throughout the regular season.

"...we have to be able to deal with the elements, learn what you can and cannot do, especially for me; types of throws that I can make that I am comfortable on. It is good for the centers to snap the ball in the shot-gun, even the exchanges under center and with the running backs. It was good work for us to be out there today and do it. And I thought it was pretty productive."

*Wide Receiver Derek Hagan went down hard on his knee during drills early in practice.  It looked to be a bad brush burn with some accompanied blood.  He said he was O.K. and finished practice.

*For the second straight day, referees were on hand at camp.

*4th Rd pick Ron Brooks had an impressive first preseason game vs Washington.  He had another interception during today's practice.

*The Bills have two remaining practices at St. John Fisher College, Monday and Tuesday.  The Bills will then finish training camp in Orchard Park.
