The Bills are not wasting any time out in Arizona, already interviewing a pair of candidates for the team's vacant Head Coach position.
Buffalo interviewed former Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt Tuesday, then had plans to interview current Cardinals Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton Wednesday.
Both came from the Bill Cowher coaching tree, and worked with Bills Assistant G.M. Doug Whaley in Pittsburgh.
Whisenhunt led Arizona to the Super Bowl in 2008 with Kurt Warner as quarterback. Horton is also a candidate for Cleveland and Arizona's Head Coach openings, and fulfills the Bills' "Rooney Rule" obligation, which forces teams to interview a minority candidate.
Multiple reports tonight say the Bills will also interview Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly this week, once his team finishes playing in the Fiesta Bowl Thursday night. The Bills are also expected to interview Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy this weekend in Denver.
Bills President/CEO Russ Brandon, General Manager Buddy Nix, Assistant G.M. Doug Whaley, and Senior VP of Football Administration Jim Overdorf traveled to Arizona Tuesday. The Bills fired former Head Coach Chan Gailey and his entire staff Monday morning.
