BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Rookie Ron Brooks's NFL debut is on hold, with the Bills placing the cornerback on Injured Reserve today. However, that does not mean his season is over.
Thanks to a new NFL rule this season, each team can bring one player back from I.R. - as long as he misses at least six weeks of practice and at least eight weeks worth of games.
Brooks will be eligible to return for the November 4th game at Houston.
With an open spot on the roster until then, the Bills brought back recently released wide receiver Ruvell Martin today, giving Buffalo five receivers on the roster. Martin was one of the final cuts Friday.
Players had the day off Tuesday, but will return to practice Wednesday afternoon, preparing for Sunday's season opener against the Jets.
