Bills summer training camp kicks off

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) - Football fever is running high as the Buffalo Bills kick off another summer at training camp.

Things are falling into place for the Buffalo Bills. Bills Manager Buddy Nix confirmed their second round draft pick Torell Troup has agreed to terms on a contract. Troup is expected on Thursday to join the team for practice on the field. Reportedly, it's a four-year deal worth $6.4 million.

Nix says there is no progress to report on negotiations with first-round pick C.J. Spiller. Linebacker Paul Posluszny says he'll be limited for a couple of weeks after undergoing groin surgery.

The players are arriving for the 27 training camp practices coming in the following weeks. The biggest question on Wednesday was: What do you bring to survive four weeks of training camp?

Running back Fred Jackson said, "I got to have a T.V. That's the first thing I carried in. It was my son's T.V. and he just realized I brought it here and that's the whole conversation we were having walking down the hall. He was like, "Why are you taking my T.V.?""

Rookie linebacker Arthur Moats brought his electric keyboard. He said, "I play all types of music, classical, R&B, gospel. I've been playing since [I was] a sophomore in college."

Kyle Williams brought a pickup truck, a big one, the type of pickup truck a real nose tackle would drive.

"That's it right there. I got to drag all these kids around and all kinds of stuff. No, I like that thing, it's good to run y'all over when you won't let me close to the door!" joked Williams.

Safety John Corto brought a cast on his hand after surgery on a broken bone just a few weeks ago. Corto said, "The injury will keep me out for a few weeks, projected around the 22nd or 23rd, but maybe faster than that. It's healing very fast and I'm looking forward to the season."

Rookie Namaan Roosevelt, an undrafted free agent from UB, brought a slight case of the jitters.

"A little nervous, but more excited. You know, I'm just excited to get ready and get started," said Roosevelt.
