BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The NFTA may give the boot to bus service to home Bills games.
The NFTA held the first of two public hearings Monday night on a proposal to reduce service to Ralph Wilson Stadium or eliminate it altogether. The Authority wants the Bills to help underwrite the seven routes it runs to Orchard Park on game days.
NFTA spokesman Doug Hartmayer said, "We have some nice ongoing conversations with the Bills so that collaboratively we can do more to advertise and promote the service, and we're looking inwardly at ways that we can economize and reduce our game day expenses."
About 1,500 fans used the service last year. Another hearing will take place Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the NFTA's Transportation Center in the Falls.
