ORCHARD PARK, NY (WIVB) - Bills linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Marcus Buggs are both facing knee surgery, and their seasons are over.  They were hurt in Sunday's loss to the Browns.

Mitchell had just moved to middle linebackers to replace Buggs.  He was hurt in the second quarter while making a tackle.  Buggs replaced Mitchell in the lineup but was then hurt while playing special team.s  Keith Ellison slid over to the middle from his outside spot to finished the game.

Both Mitchell and Buggs will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.  The Bills will have to fill those roster spots.  There is currently only one linebacker on the practice squad, rookie Marcus Freeman.

Dick Jauron indicated that Nic Harris will move back to linebacker from safety.  He'll likely start Sunday at outside linebacker along with rookie Ashlee Palmer.  Ellison is expected to move into the middle spot, until Paul Posluszny is ready to return from his broken arm.  He is probably two weeks away from returning.

"You’ll have to ask the coaches about that but I mean if it happens I’m ready to play," said Ellison, "Whatever they need from me on the field, whatever they need for me to help this defense to help this team win, I’m open to do it."

Offensive tackle Jonathan Scott injured his ankle.  HIs status will be updated later in the week.
