BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - WIVB.com is buzzing with comment over the new head coach and so is WNY over the hiring of Chan Gailey.

At the Aud Sports Bar and Grill, hockey may be the game of the night, but Buffalo sports fans are always willing to talk about their beloved Bills. And the news out of One Bills Drive was shocking to fans, to say the least.

Brett Hammond commented, "There was no talk of him, I guess, to the fans before it came out, at least I didn't hear anything."

It's safe to say fans aren't exactly cheering for new head coach Chan Gailey.

"More of a Dick Jauron kinda stuff getting a no name guy in. It's kinda sad because we had Cower and Billacheck that were mentioned and we didn't get them," said Ben Yount.

Aaron Land commented, "I believe this was a reach like everything else they've had and I don't think it's gonna do much better than they had in the past."

Land has been a season ticket holder for 12 years and says even though Chan Gailey may be new to the team, it feels like more of the same old, same old.

"It's not gonna pull better players in free agency and it's not gonna have any aspect in the draft," added Land.

Despite working with some big teams and talented players, Bills fans are pretty critical. Some are giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Hammond said, "I mean he's been in the NFL and he's been in college football so he's gotta know what he's doing, we'll see what happens."
