ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Bills fans have had plenty to shout about this season, and Sunday's sell-out crowd was rocking.
It's been a party atmosphere all day. Nobody was leaving the Ralph before the game clock ran out and many fans are still hanging around to enjoying a little food, a little drink and offering a toast to their Bills.
Bills fans of late are not accustomed to big wins let alone being at the top of the AFC East. So it's not surprising that Sunday' victory left some speechless.
Greg Grenda said, "This is just the cream of the crop right now. It's unbelievable. I can't explain in words right now because honestly I'm so happy."
"Unbelievable! The Bills are for real this year. There is no question, they are a real team. They are not the usual team from the last 5, 6 or 7 years," added Paul Marchese.
Buffalo proved they came out to play and win. The Bills picked off the Eagles for five interceptions. And at the very end of the 4th quarter with Philadelphia putting the pressure on, Buffalo relied on a little psychological warfare to psych Philly out and causing the false start call that put the game away for good.
Vinny Calabro said, "It was a big play. It was a little too close for comfort there. We should have put them away earlier but it was a good plan and we are 4 and 1 and that is all the matters. And all these Eagles fans can go back to Philly."
It was a move you would expect more from the old Bills championship teams.
"I grew up watching the Bills as a young little tyke of the late 80's. They were the comeback kids then and I see it all over again. Watch them go all the way here,"added Mike Dudek.
While it may be a bit early for playoff predictions, the Bills are showing a new heart and attitude. The fans will take it.
Grenda added, "As a team they should realize they can do it."
