HAMILTON, ONT (WIVB) - Chan Gailey has an opening on his coaching staff. Quarterbacks coach George Cortez has left to become the head coach of the CFL's Hamilton Tiger Cats. The Hamilton team made that announcement on Saturday.
Cortez has been with the Bills for two years, working with Ryan Fitzpatrick.
He has extensive experience in the Canadian Football League. Cortez was the associate head coach of the Calgary Stampeders from 2007-2009, before joining the Bills. He has been a part of four Grey Cup championship teams.
No word from the Bills on any possible replacements.
