BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bills are recovering after an embarrassing loss in San Francisco Sunday. The team broke a record, but not a good one.

Bills fans are crying out for the team to change their plan of attack on the football field. For the second time in two weeks, the teams did well in the first half and then rough in the second.

Coaches are working to make improvements by next week’s game.

The Buffalo Bills walked off the field disappointed yesterday. They not only lost Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, but they hit a new record. The teams defense gave up more than 500 yards two weeks in a row.

“I'm trying to win the game,” said Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey. He says he's working to make that happen. “We're going to evaluate everything. Talk about it and see. “

Gailey said, “Seems like when we ran the football it was two yards and three yards not five and six yards. And that kind of put us behind the sticks.”

Coaches and players agree, everyone has something to work on.

Bills Defensive End Mario Williams said, “We have to hold each other accountable. It's nobody else's fault, but the 11 guys on the field.”

Gailey said, “I gotta find a way to get us to play better in the second half. I tell them I don't have the answers today. I gotta find the answers.”

News 4 viewers shared how they were feeling after Sunday’s game.

Debra Ann says, "I'm ok. I am not an on the wagon-- off the wagon fan. I'm with them 100 percent. ..but wow disappointing."

Yvonne says, "They need to make some changes…calling plays, coaching, etc. Our guys don't even have any passion about what they are doing."

Yvonee raises a question many people have asked, where was the passion or did the Bills give up? Players say they didn't.

Bills Wide Receiver Stevie Johnson said, “I don't think anybody in the locker room gave up or said it's over."

Johnson said, “When the game was starting to get out of control we still felt like we were one or two plays away from making a comeback.

The Bills have a chance to make a comeback next Sunday when they play against the Arizona Cardinals.
