Jaguars Roll Bills 36-26

ORCHARD PARK, NY (WIVB) - For the first time in Bills history, the team has allowed 30 or more points in five straight game.  In a related story, the Bills are now 0-5 for the first time in 25 years, following a 36-26 loss to Jacksonville at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The Bills jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. But the Jaguars outscored the Bills 36-16 the rest of the way, keeping the Bills winless in five starts.  The 1985 Bills who went 2-14 were the last Buffalo team to begin 0-5.

The Bills run defense was once again a main culprit for the loss.  Despite shifting to a 4-3 defense for most of the game, the Jags ground up 216 yards.  Its the third straight game that Buffalo has allowed more than 200 yards rushing.  Maurice Jones-Drew had 84 yards.

David Garrard was solid at quarterback for the second straight week.  He completed 16 of 20 passes and threw three touchdowns.  He threw an early interception to Bills linebacker Andra Davis that Buffalo turned into a field goal.

A Ryan Fitzpatrick to Lee Evans 45 yard touchdown followed a Jags fumbled punt, and put Buffalo up 7-0.  Fitzpatrick was 20/30 for 220 yards, 3 TD, and 3 sacks.  Evans had 5 catches for 87 yards.  Steve Johnson had two touchdown catches. 

Fred Jackson, in his first start of the season, led the Bills with 73 yards.

Buffalo is off next week on their bye.  They play at Baltimore on October 24.
