ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The new lease between Erie County and the Buffalo Bills for Ralph Wilson Stadium has cleared another hurdle.
On Thursday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the Empire State Development board of directors gave the green light for major renovations at the stadium. The $130-million improvement project is part of the new lease agreement, which keeps the team in town for at least the next seven years.
The third and final go-ahead now lies with the NFL, which is expected to approve the deal.
