Saints coach: Marrone a "great leader"

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bills haven’t made an official statement about who the new head coach is yet. But, a league source tells News 4, Doug Marrone will get it.
New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton called Marrone a “great leader” and “a great teacher,” in an interview with the New Orleans Times Picayune, Sunday.
Marrone worked as an offensive coordinator for the Saints from 2006 to 2008, when he left to take the head coaching job at Syracuse.
Payton went on to say, “I think he’s certainly someone the players will respond to, and I think he’s ready.”
Bills Linebacker Bryan Scott played the New Orleans during Marrone’s time there and things Payton has rubbed off on him.
Before working with Payton in New Orleans, Marrone served as the offensive line coach for the Jets under Herm Edwards.
Marrone took over a Syracuse team that had gone 10 and 27 in its previous four seasons, and went 25 and 25 in his four years at the helm, winning two bowl games.
