Buffalo, NY (WIVB.COM) - Former Bills Wide Receiver Andre Reed has had six cracks and is still waiting for his bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Special teams ace Steve Tasker has been in the semifinals before, but has yet to make the final ballot. The announcement of the 27 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced Friday afternoon. Those two former Bills made the list.
Reed, the Bills all-time leading receiver has been on the cusp of breaking the logjam of wide receivers vying for a spot. Those players inline with Reed include Tim Brown and Chris Carter.
Tasker led the Bills on Special teams for many years in the 1990's in which he made seven Pro Bowl appearances.
The 27 modern-era finalists will be whittled down to 15 in January.
