Ralph Wilson Stadium - When T-O left, the buzz left too. Terrell Owens has a knack for creating his own buzz wherever he goes. He's back in town Saturday night with the Cincinnati Bengals when they play the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Owens has already made his mark with some big plays in preseason with the Bengals. He's coming off a season in Buffalo where he caught 55-passes--five of them for touchdowns.
He led the team in receptions, but T-O’s numbers were far below his normal output.
The Buffalo defensive backs got used to covering T-O in practice last season. Now, they get to see him again, across the field, in a Cincinnati Bengals uniform.
Veteran cornerback Terrence McGee was asked if it will be "fun" to have T-O lined up across from him again.
“Fun?? Its definitely going to be good to see him, but it’s no fun and games when you’re out there trying to cover him,” McGee told News 4 Sports. “You don’t want to get beat deep for a big play. Before the game, it’s going to be fun to say hello, but during the game it’s business. I would not smile after a deep route gets caught on me.”
Owens did not create too many distractions in his one year tenure with the Bills, and overall he seemed to be a pretty popular teammate. He talked to reports in Cincinnati this week about returning to Buffalo.
“It’s gonna be a bittersweet situation,” Owens said, “because that was definitely a city that embraced me to the fullest. I loved the fans there, and I appreciate everything they did for me when I was there. I wish things could have worked out more than they did.”
Kickoff is six thirty pm Saturday. It Kid’s Day at Ralph Wilson Stadium for the Bills and the Bengals.
