BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Canisius rolled past Bentley 4-0 Friday night to open the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.
The Griffs rode Tony Capobianco's 35-save performance to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three first-round series.
Capobianco set a pair of single-season Canisius records with his fourth shutout of the season, and his 1,020th save.
Preston Shupe scored a pair for the Griffs, with Cody Freeman and Ben Parker each scoring once.
The Griffs will host Bentley again Saturday night at 7pm.
