Buffalo, NY - A big rivalry game coming up Thursday night in Buffalo--Canisius and Niagara. They'll play for the second time this year, this one at Canisius College's Koessler Center. The two teams are at opposite ends of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings--Niagara in second place, .Canisius is in last. But the rivalry usually brings forth a great effort and makes for a great game.
"It'll be big," according to Canisius guard Frank Turner. "Everybody's waiting for this game the whole year. It could be a boost for us. We've lost a lot of close games this year, and I think those games are preparing us for the MAAC tournament."
The Griffs lost by six at Niagara two weeks ago. They tip it
off at 7:30 Thursday night .at the Koessler Center.
