BUFFALO,NY(WIVB) - The Griffs have been winning for so long, they can't remember when the last time was that they lost.  In fact, they didn't even know that they've just won nine straight.

"I honestly don't think anyone of us noticed that we won 9 in a row until somebody mentioned it this past weekend. I just feel that everbody's not looking too far past our next game. We're all about next game, next game. I think that's very good for us. We don;t want to look too far and slip up and lose," Brittane Russell, Canisius Jr. Guard.

One of the pieces of the puzzle to perfection for the Griffs is Marie Warner. The Utah transfer sat out last season.  Now she's showcasing her skills for the Griffs and everyone else in the M.A.A.C.

"I think it just helps us in bigger games. She's been to the NCAA tournament and she knows what thats like so.. she can gives us a little bit of experience in that regard," Amanda Cavo, Griffs Sr. Guard.

"What drew me to Canisius is how close we are. How close the team is, how great the coaches are. Just the whole family atmosphere. That's what drew me here and now I'm part of it and it's just awesome," Marie Warner, Griffs Sr. Forward.

It should feel that way for Warner.  The Ontario native is currently the 2nd leading scorer in the conference.
