PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) - With the heat cranked up outside, there is suddenly extra heat on the Bills' wide receivers, who struggled through a day full of dropped passes Friday.

With Stevie Johnson sitting out much of practice with a minor groin injury - not the same one that plagued him last season - several receivers had trouble hanging onto the ball.

"I t was a huge case of the drops," said Head Coach Chan Gailey. "The quarterbacks had to be, they would never say it but I’ll say it for them, that is unacceptable. We cannot have that. If we drop the ball that much we will not win any games."

Also Friday, after a free agent visit that stretched into part of a second day, safety Jim Leonhard left town without a contract.

The Bills return to practice Saturday at 3pm.
