LONDON (WIVB) - Jake Kaminski will return home with at least one medal, after leading the USA Archery team to a silver medal in the team competition Saturday.
It is the first medal of any kind for the US in the London Olympics.
The Elma native shot a perfect 10 on his final shot in he semifinal round today, leading the US to an upset win over South Korea, who shattered records just a day earlier.
In the finals, the US trailed Italy throughout the match. Kaminski fired an 8 on his last shot, as the US could not rally, falling 219-218.
He will get another shot at a medal in the individual archery competition later in the Games.
