LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Olean boys basketball team dominated in the first half against Canisius Tuesday night, then held off a big second-half Crusaders surge to win 76-73.
The Huskies, ranked third in the state to start the season, opened up a 22-5 lead after the first quarter. They led 47-21 at halftime, before Canisius turned the tables in the second half.
Crusaders star Adam Weir put up a game-high 34 points. Wil Bathurst led Olean with 25.
The game was part of the Monsignor Martin/ECIC Challenge this week at St. Mary's High School.
