Buffalo, NY - Five turnovers.  A 21 point deficeit.  But then, a comeback. that appeared to tie the game with 14 seconds left.  But as the Bulls found out Saturday, the extra point is a big play.  A missed point after touchdown by Bulls kicker Peter Fardon was the difference in a 31-30 loss to Northern Illinois.

UB had trailed 31-10 in the third quarter after their fifth turnover set up the Huskies for a 33 yard touchown drive.  Three of the mistakes were muffed punts, and two were interceptions by UB quarterback Chazz Anderson.

But Anderson got hot in the fourth quarter, and the offense was nearly unstoppable.  Anderson threw for three fourth quarter touchdowns, including the final one to Ed Young.  Anderson set a Bulls Division I-A record with 404 yards passing.  He set a school record with 35 completitions.  Anderson also ran for 56 yards and a score.

Alex Neutz and Marcus Rivers caught those fourth quarter scores.  Neutz had 9 catches for 135 yards.  Rivers had 10 catches for 114 yards.

The Bulls are now 2-6 overall, and 1-3 in the MAC.

NIU quarteback Chandler Harnish gained 217 all-purpose yards, which was 100 yards under his MAC leading average.  A week ago, Harnish ran for 229 yards and threw for 203 in a win over Western Michigan.
