Glenn, Urbik to miss 49ers game

Offensive line loses two starters

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Bills are limping their way to San Francisco this week. Starting offensive linemen Cordy Glenn and Kraig Urbik will both miss at least one game with ankle injuries.

Urbik got hurt in the first quarter Sunday against New England. Glenn went down in the third quarter of that game.

Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey said Monday those injuries will keep both players out of action this week - and perhaps longer, with the team scheduled to play Arizona the following week.

"Yeah, you cannot really avoid if a guy falls on your leg," said Urbik. "It is just part of football and it happens sometimes. Unfortunately it has happened to me the past three years. It is just disappointing."

Chris Hairston will replace Glenn at left tackle, with Chad Rinehart sliding in at guard to fill in for Urbik.

"It is not your ideal situation obviously, but we have guys that we have a comfort level with that have played in games," said Gailey.

Injuries to Scott Chandler, Donald Jones, and Jairus Byrd were not as serious, and none of those three are expected to miss time against San Francisco.
