BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Saturday will mark the third game of the season between Canisius and Iona - this time, for the right to move on to the MAAC semifinals.

The two teams split the regular season series in a pair of high-scoring affairs.

In Saturday's matchup, the Griffs say the team that comes up with defensive stops will be the team moving on to the next round.

"We got to do something that we've been struggling at, that's playing defense," said senior guard Harold Washington. "We've got to step that up in this tournament if we want to compete with this team."

Canisius and Iona are scheduled for a 4:30pm start Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Massachusetts. Top-seed Niagara will take on Siena in the 2:30pm game.
