Buffalo, N.Y. (wivb.com) - Next step for Niagara Falls native Paul Harris is the NBA Development League. Thursday night Harris was drafted 8th overall by the Maine Red Claws. The Red Claws are an expansion team to the league and made Harris their first draft pick in the history's franchise.
Harris, undrafted, signed on with the Utah Jazz in September, but was recently cut after he missed all of the preseason with an ankle injury. His last action was over the summer where he played in the NBA Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves, joining former Syracuse and Niagara Falls teammate Jonny Flynn.
Harris left Syracuse after a junior season in which he averaged 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds.
