CLEVELAND (WIVB) - Despite a pair of near upsets, both UB's men's and women's basketball teams are heading home after losses in the MAC Quarterfinals Thursday.

In the men's bracket, the Bulls led with less than four minutes to go, but could not seal the deal against Kent State, falling 70-68.

Senior Tony Watson scored 23 points in his final game at UB, while junior Javon McCrea chipped in 20.

The UB women fell against Akron, 83-79.
