AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Joe Licata patiently waited for his opportunity at UB. Now that he has it, the Williamsville South product is making the most of his chance.
Licata is off to a 2-0 start as the Bulls' starting quarterback, after replacing an injured Alex Zordich.
"I think this offense has gained a lot of confidence through these past couple weeks," said Licata.
The Bulls were 1-7 on the season before Licata took over at QB.
"Just the way he's matured through the process and getting his opportunity was really special," said Head Coach Jeff Quinn. "I know Joe's been chomping at the bit to do that, and he's prepared that way. When he got the chance to do it, he was able to deliver his best effort."
UB will visit UMass this Saturday, looking for win number four on the season.
