BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Its Virginia for Will Regan.  The Nichols School basketball star has decided to play college basketball for the Cavaliers.  Regan made the decision late this week, picking UVA over scholarship offers from Michigan and Stanford.

According to Nichols boys basketball coach Greg Plumb, Regan's decision was based on the school, the Atlantic Coast Conference level of play, and the influence of new Cavs coach Tony Bennett.  He joined the program this offseason after coaching at Washington State.

The six-foot-nine inch Regan is a forward with a shooting touch.  He averaged 24 points per game during his junior season at Nichols.  He also grabbed 14 rebounds per game.  He was the WNY Player of the Year.
