AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Players knew they would risk injury, by playing overseas during the lockout. Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers missed a month of games with an ankle injury in Austria, but says he is fully recovered.
Myers said he is "100 percent" Thursday, as he joined many of his teammates on the ice in Amherst. Players are not allowed to practice at the team facilities until players finish ratifying the new collective bargaining agreement.
The Sabres are expected to open training camp this Sunday. Team President Ted Black said he is anticipating Sunday, January 20th as the home opener, although exact details on the schedule will not be announced until after the CBA is ratified.
