NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WIVB) - The honors and the highlights just keep coming for Jonny Flynn.  Four days after being drafted in the first round, the Minnesota Timberwolves player will be honored in his hometown.  He will receive the key to the City of Niagara Falls on Monday evening.

The announcement came Sunday from Mayor Paul Dyster.  The ceremony will be held at City Hall and will begin at 7pm.

Flynn grew up in the Falls, played for Niagara Falls High School, and his family still lives there.

After being drafted in New York City Thursday night, Flynn flew to Minneapolis to meet with the Timberwolves.  He spent most of the month leading up to the draft in Chicago working out and traveling around the country for different teams workouts.

Flynn is the first ever player from Niagara Falls to be drafted by the NBA.  He was taken sixth overall by Minnesota.
