AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Alex Neutz has transformed himself from a lightly-recruited receiver out of Grand Island into one of the top receiving threats in the nation at U.B.
Neutz, a redshirt junior this season, has six touchdown catches this season - tied for fourth in all of Division I. With star tailback Bo Oliver missing the last game and a half with an injury, Neutz has evolved into the biggest offensive threat on the Bulls.
"Last season I broke my wrist toward the end of the season," said Neutz. "More motivation to work on my hands, get stronger, faster to make sure I didn't come into the season and have another let-down injury like that."
U.B. travels to Ohio this week to take on the unbeaten Bobcats.
