LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara University has soared through the early part of its schedule, landing the Purple Eagles firmly on the national hockey radar.
NU is riding a nine-game unbeaten streak going into Friday's matchup with Sacred Heart - a game that could provide the 200th win of Head Coach David Burkholder's career.
The Purple Eagles, ranked 20th in the USCHO.com Division I poll, host Sacred Heart both Friday and Saturday at Dwyer Arena.
