AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - It took overtime, but UB is moving on to Cleveland, with a 74-72 win over Central Michigan in the first round of the MAC Tournament.
First-Team All-MAC selection Javon McCrea scored a team-high 21 points, including six of the team's seven points in overtime, to lead the way for the Bulls.
Four players finished in double figures for the Bulls. Will Regan (15), Tony Watson (14), and Raphell Thomas-Edwards (10) all played key roles in the win.
Kyle Randall scored a game-high 31 for the Chippewas.
Buffalo advances to the second round of the MAC Tournament in Cleveland, where the Bulls will take on 5th-seed Ball State Wednesday at 6:30pm.
