Buffalo, NY - Boxing is back in Buffalo Friday night. It's the "Road to Redemption", featuring Niagara Falls junior welterweight Nick Casal. He goes up against Christopher "Kid Kayo" Fernandez in the main event. Casal is 19-4-and-one with 15-knockouts.
The fight card features mostly home grown boxers from Western New York. And promoter Nick Garone says Western New York boxing fans will get a chance to see some good fights.
"It gives them an opportunity to support some local kids, which is also good," Garone says, "and to see these guys that could eventualy be champions on the way up. You could say, hey, I saw that guy when he was a four-round fighter, now he's fighting for a title."
The Road to Redemption is Friday night at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
