AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Michael Peca is a former Buffalo Sabres captain, guiding the next generation of hockey stars as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Buffalo Junior Sabres.
Peca, in his first year as Head Coach, held his first practice this morning in Amherst.
"I've always loved amateur hockey," said Peca. "When you've experienced it, you know how important it is to have people involved in your development. To help do things that are important to you, whether it's instruction on the ice or off the ice."
The Jr. Sabres are a Junior "A" hockey team playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
