BUFFALO, NY (WIVB.com) - Nearly one year ago, 22-year-old Canisius freshman ice hockey player, Chris Rumble, was diagnosed with Leukemia. He spent four months in the hospital, receiving chemotherapy treatments. During his time at Seattle Children's hospital he created a music video, featuring other patients on his floor battling cancer. The video includes the patients, parents and nurses lip syncing to Kelly Clarkson's hit song, "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger." The video has over 3.1 million views on YouTube. Chris no longer has cancer and has returned to the ice. However, he has not forgotten the battle he faced and conquered.
"I think if you ask anyone who knew me before, I wasn't always in the best of moods," explained Chris. "But now afterwards, I cant wait to come to the rink everyday. I cant wait to be happy. And I think it rubs off on other people too. They are having a bad day and I kind of give them a tap on the shoulder and I'm like people have been through worse."
