BUFFALO, NY (WIVB.COM) - The Buffalo Sabres made one move acquiring some much needed size up front on the wing. Enforcer John Scott signed a one-year deal with Buffalo Sunday.
Scott is 6-foot-8 and 270 pounds. He split last season in Chicago and with the New York Rangers.
He only tallied one assist in his 35 games played, but is a physical forward who has accumulated 236 penalty minutes in four years in the NHL.
General Manager Darcy Regier sent out a release saying, "John's size and toughness make him a difficult player to battle against. His physical play will be a valuable addition to our team."
