BUFFALO,NY (WIVB) - The New York Rangers signed former Buffalo Sabres forward Ales Kotalik to a three-year, $9 million contract on Thursday. ($3 million per season)
The 30-year old split last season between Buffalo and the Edmonton Oilers, putting up 20 goals and 23 assists.
In the 2005-06 with the Sabres, Kotalik had his best season in the NHL, scoring 25 goals and adding 37 assists. For his career Kotalik has 121 goals, 130assists andis a minus 22.
The Sabres drafted the 6'1" Czech Republic native in the sixth round of the 1998 NHL draft.
