Hockey fans to get hands on tickets

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Get that credit card ready, because Sabres home games go on sale Monday. Hockey fans will be able to get their hands on individual game tickets at 10 a.m. for mini packs, noon for "Sabres Insiders" and Tuesday at 10 a.m. for the general public.

Sabres Goalie Ryan Miller said, “Our fans want us to win, we want to win.  There is expectation to win here, we've messed around enough here, it's time to win some hockey games.”

The team hit the ice for the first time in the shortened season Sunday. The team is pretty healthy going into the season, only Nathan Gerbe and Cody McCormick are fighting off injuries.

One familiar face returned to the ice Sunday. Jochen Hecht signed a new deal with the team, and his teammate Jason Pominville, who played with Hecht in Germany during the lockout, may have been the catalyst to his return.

Sabres Forward Jochen Hecht said, “Probably, he probably let him know.  We played good together in those six games we played.  The chemistry came back right away, so it was a lot of fun.”

The team is excited to get back on the ice and lay. Sabres Center Cody Hodgson said, “I think we're all excited though, for every one of us its a fresh start, new beginning to the year, and I think everybody's ready for it.  If you look at the pace out there, it's pretty quick and the guys look sharp.”
