BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Sabres had a record-setting day Sunday, when they sold more than 30,000 tickets in a single day. During a 24-hour presale period for current season ticket holders and mini pack holders, 31,213 tickets were sold.
“With the uncertainty surrounding the schedule and the timing of the start of hockey, we didn’t know what to expect. However, Sunday’s ticket sales took us by surprise and, frankly, blew us away,” said Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black in a press release.
Mini pack tickets were available at 10 a.m. Monday and Sabres Insiders could buy tickets at noon. Tickets are available for the general public Tuesday at 10 a.m.
At the First Niagara Center Monday, fans filled the Sabres Store buying Sabres gear at 50 percent off. Items at the store are half off at the Sabres Store until the end of the first home game on Sunday.
