Sabres Coach Lindy Ruff not at practice

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4 Sports’ Paul Peck reports that Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff did not attend Tuesday’s team practice. Assistant Coach James Patrick led the Sabres’ practice.
Ruff is at home resting Tuesday, and Sabres GM Darcy Regier says Ruff is in a lot of pain.
Ruff may or may not coach the team Wednesday, against Boston at the First Niagara Center. If Ruff is not present for the game, Assistant Coach James Patrick will replace him behind the bench.
Monday, Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff broke three ribs after hitting the ice hard following a collision with defenseman Jordan Leopold in practice on Monday.
