BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - With winter weather slamming the east coast, the Buffalo Sabres need to score a ride to Long Island before weather prevents them from flying.

The Buffalo Sabres confirm the team is headed to Long Island Friday morning. The team is flying Friday morning, after switching their flight to try and arrive in New York earlier than originally planned.

The Sabres are scheduled to face the Islanders Saturday, in Long Island.
