The Sabres lost forward Jason Pominville in the first period. He appeared to catch a skate from a Flyers player just above the boot of his own skate, and Pominville limped off the ice. Lindy Ruff said Pominville's injury did not look good, but he'll update his status Saturday.
AP reports "Jason Pominville won't play in Game 6 of Buffalo's first-round playoff series against Philadelphia, leaving the Sabres minus their top two-way forward. Coach Lindy Ruff declined Saturday to reveal the nature of the injury or a timetable for Pominville's return, a day after he hurt his left leg in a 4-3 overtime win."
