Spiller: "I'm in shape"

Bills running back says he can handle more carries

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - When asked why C.J. Spiller did not carry the ball more often against the Rams Sunday, Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey said he was "winded" after a couple 13 yard carries. Spiller responded today, saying his conditioning is not an issue.

"I'm in shape, I'll leave it at that," said Spiller inside the locker room Monday. "I'll sit down with coach and get a better understanding... I'll go up there and see what he meant, because I don't know. I mean, I think I'm in shape."

Spiller carried the ball seven times for 37 yards against the Rams, and also caught one pass. He is expected to see an increased workload in the final three games, with Fred Jackson out for the season with an MCL sprain in his knee.
