Spiller injury not long-term

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - C.J. Spiller's shoulder injury is not nearly as bad as it first appeared, and Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey says he will not rule Spiller out for this Sunday's game against New England. And Spiller is not the only running back who could return.

Fred Jackson said he is about 75% sure he will play this Sunday against the Patriots.

" I think that with the work that our training staff is doing, with the preparation trying to get me out there, and then you just focus in on trying to get back out there," said Jackson. "I think I have a really good shot, I like my chances. Hopefully all goes well on Wednesday, Thursday and things are good for me."

In Spiller's case, Gailey admits that it is more likely he will miss this week's game and return the following week at San Francisco.

The Bills return to the practice field Wednesday, which should give everyone a better of idea in regards to where Spiller and Jackson stand.
