BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Brianna Robbins plays soccer, basketball and lacrosse at Nardin Academy. While the rain has kept her and her team off the lacrosse field, it hasn't slowed down this multi-talented, three-sport scholar athlete.
Robbins said, "I enjoy all the excitement and the fun. Just joining together as a team to achieve a greater goal. Obviously, lacrosse and basketball are really fun sports. I'm a very competitive person. They're just a lot of fun to be a part of a team and help your team win."
Nardin Athletic Director Moira Sheehan siad, "Briana as an athlete to Nardin to an asset. Brianna on the basketball court, the lacrosse field, the soccer field is a valuable person all around. Her athletics, her scholar, her friendship, her sportsmanship. She's a real all around girl."
"My grades are driven by the desire to please all my teachers, my parents. Just to make them proud. They support me so much. All the staff and the teachers here at Nardin are so great. I just love to get that good grade and I know it makes them happy and proud. I just want to make everyone happy. The difference between good grades and good sports are similar in that you work hard, you work hard in practice, you work hard to study to get a good grade. But there's a different level of excitement when you score the game winning goal or win the championship," said Robbins.
Sheehan added, "Her sportsmanship is my big thing. I always get on everybody for sportsmanship. How they play, how they conduct themselves. But Bri is al all-around young lady who I'm going to miss very much."
They'll miss Robbins at Nardin because she is headed to Haverford College near Philadelphia, where she'll continue to play basketball and lacrosse.
