Cassandra Hopkins: Feb. scholar athlete

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - From the ice rink to the lacrosse field, Cassandra Hopkins is turning heads at Williamsville South High School.

Known amongst her classmates as a leader, Hopkins' character, work ethic and desire to help others is often seen both in the classroom and in athletics. While she is a vocal leader, she also leads by example.

Hopkins is a hockey player but was also instrumental in getting a girls varsity ice hockey program started at her school. She says that is one of her proudest accomplishments in past four years.
